Rolf Binder Heysen 2002
Barossa Valley Shiraz
Heysen Home
"The 2002 Shiraz Heysen is produced from a 34-year-old, dry-farmed vineyard that yielded two tons of fruit per acre. Aged 20 months in American and French oak (30% new), this deep ruby/purple-hued, tightly-knit effort reveals an intriguing, distinctive nose of spice box and flowers. It possesses admirably intense flavors of flowers and blackberries, multiple layers, full body, and firm tannin. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring, and enjoy it over the following 12-15."
