"Broad and generous, a multilayered wine with complex flavors of pepper, licorice and other spices weaving through the rich blueberry and currant flavors. Feels fresh, not dried, and the texture has refinement."

“The finest of this trio is the 2003 Shiraz Arrival, a deep ruby/purple-tinged offering displaying aromas of smoke, graphite, blackberries, cassis, pepper, and coffee. This fruit-driven, unctuously-textured, full-bodied Shiraz can be consumed over the next 7-8 years.” |

"Smooth and rich. A sinewy mouthful of licorice-scented blackberry and red plum flavors, artfully balanced with just enough acidity to perk everything up and make it sing through a long finish. Best from 2007 through 2015." |

In 1824, a Scottish gentleman by the name of Busby came to Australia cherishing great faith in the future of Australian wine. After visiting Europe he returned with 678 vines, of which 362 were successfully grown in the Botanical Gardens of Sydney. Amongst the collection were the nations first Shiraz vines. These cuttings were to propagate the vineyards of Australia, heralding the beginning of one of the world's great Shiraz journeys. There are many clones of Shiraz, each having their own unique qualities and all of which respond differently to specific terriors. In order to maximise flavor and complexity, five clones of Shiraz have been selected from McLaren Vale for Journeys End Arrival Shiraz. These clones include SA1654, SA2626, SA1127, SA712, and BVRC30 |
