2004 Vintage

“The 2004 Chardonnay Footprints on Maslin offers lovely lemon custard and citrus characteristics in addition to crisp acidity, and a whiff of orange blossoms. Elegant and medium-bodied, it is best consumed over the next year.”

This Chardonnay was grown in the Malpas Road Vineyard, which consists of 5.2ha of Chardonnay planted in 1991-1992. The low yielding vines are grown on shallow black cracking clay soils over a calcium base. These relatively infertile soils produce vines of reduced vigor, resulting in small concentrated Chardonnay berries.
